Watchnight Service

A Watchnight service will be held in Carriden Church on Friday, 24 December at 11.30pm. You will need to wear a face covering. You will also need to register your contact details for test and protect as you enter the church. For those with the NHS app on their mobile phone, a QR code is available for this purpose. In light of the new Omicron strain of the Covid virus, we would encourage you to take a lateral flow test before attending this service. It goes without saying that anyone testing positive or with any symptoms of Covid 19 should not attend the service. In addition, we would also encourage you, where possible during worship, to distance yourself from anyone who is not in your own household. We look forward to welcoming you to our service.

If you were unable to attend in person, you can watch it again here.

Please note that there will be no service in either Blackness Church or Carriden Church on Sunday, 26 December

Watch again (recorded on Sunday 22nd August at 11.15am) — a joint service held in Carriden Church together with members of Bo'ness Old Kirk and St Andrew's Parish Church.

Carriden Woman's Group

Meets fortnightly on Wednesdays in the Lund Hall, Cowdenhill Road at 1.30 pm. Please note change to an afternoon meeting.

All events in the Lund Hall have been postponed as a result of the Coronavirus.

However, in order to keep in touch with our members we have started to produce our own WG Newsletter. Five issues have now been distributed - mainly by email; hand delivery (keeping a safe distance) and some by WhatsApp. We also distribute the Church of Scotland Guild Newsletter to members each week.

We have now agreed to meet once a month on the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the Richmond Park Hotel from 1.30 - 3 pm.

CCVG - Afternoon Club for Retired Men and Women

However, in order to keep in touch with our members a delivery took place at the end of April of an "Afternoon Tea Box" consisting of a sausage roll, a pancake, a scone and a cake. Our members really appreciated this gesture. More treats are planned. The boxes of goodies were bought from our local Baker's Shop.
